A man entered the mosque when it was not the time for prayer, and he found a ten-years-old boy praying with proper focus and humility. He waited until the boy had finished praying , then he came, greeted him and said : "Whose son are you ?" the boy lowered his head and said : "O' uncle, I am an orphan who has no father or mother." The man felt sorry for him and said: "Would you like to be my son?" The boy said : "If I got hungry will you feed me?" "yes." "If I am naked will you clothe me?" "yes." "If I fall sick will heal me?" ''I am not able to do that, my son.'' '' I am not able to do that.''
The boy said, '' Then leave me, my uncle, to the One Who created me, for He will guide me and He is the one who gives me food and drink. If I fall sick He heals me and He is the One Who, I hope, will forgive me on the Day if Judgement.''
The man fell silent and went on his way, saying, '' I believe in Allah, whoever puts his trust in Allah, Allah will suffice him.'' "No matter how much you pull your hair, or allow your throat to be overwhelmed by grief and despair, you will not be able to bring back any one of past events." Our happiness is not like theirs
Who told you that distracting music, immoral songs, cheap soap operas, reprehensible plays, offensive magazines and dubious movies bring happiness and joy? Whoever told you that, is lying! These are things that lead to misery, depression and distress, as acknowledged by those who have worked in those fields and then repented. So flee from this miserable life of idlers who deviate from the straight path of Allah, and come to recitation of the Qur'an with humility, useful books, moving lessons, stirring khutbahs (sermons) , true friendship, sincere repentance. Come to spiritual gatherings and remembrance of Allah ; may He accept your repentance and fill your heart with tranquillity and peace. No one is happier than those who believe in Allah
I have read the biographies of dozens of rich and great men worldwide, who did not have faith in Allah, and I discovered that their lives ended in misery and disgrace. Where are they now? Where is the wealth and treasure that they accumulated? Where are the palaces and mansions that they built? It has all come to an end. Some of them committed suicide, others were killed, some were imprisoned and the rest were arrested and taken to court for their sins, crimes, foul play and mischief. They became the most miserable of people, when they imagined that their wealth could buy them everything-happiness, love, health and real youth cannot be bought with money. Yes, they could buy imaginary happiness, false love and health in the marketplace, but all the wealth in the world cannot buy a heart, generate love or create joy.
No one is happier than those who believe in Allah, because they have light from their Lord, they check themselves, they do that which Allah commands and avoid that which Allah forbids. Listen to the way are described in the Holy Qur'an: ]مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحاً مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهُ حَيَاةً طَيِّبَةً وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ[ (سورة النحل :97 ) { Whoever works righteousness - whether male or female - while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islâmic Monotheism) verily, to him We will give a good life (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do (i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter).} (Qur'an 16:79)
